Product information：
Grooved coupling includes housing, gasket and fasteners to create a groove leak-tight structure.
Rigid grooved coupling provides rigidity through grip teeth in the housing.
It does not allow for movement, similar to a rigid flanged or welded joint.
The pipe groove is made by forming or machining an actual groove into the ends of two pipes. A gasket wraps around and on top of the pipe ends.
The housings wrap around the gasket and sit in the pipe grooves.
The bolts and nuts are tightened with a wrench to hold it all together.
Grooved coupling consists of three components:
The two-piece coupling housing which encloses the gasket and holds it in place at the pressure and vacuum.
The coupling halves are designed to fit tightly in the groove around the entire circumference of the pipe which provides a mechanical interlock which prevents axial movement of the pipes.
Sealing rubber ring:the material is mostly EPDM or fluorine rubber, to ensure that the internal seal does not leak.
Bolts with oval neck which fits into the coupling.Matching oval holes and flange nuts which provide a secure locking screw connection.
